ABOUT THE FILM
American Christian Todd Morehead travels to Israel to bear witness to the atrocities of October 7, 2023 and to explore the background and motivations behind the deadliest day in Jewish history since the Holocaust. The film presents the most comprehensive overview to date of the history of Gaza prior to October 7 through the voices of some of Israel’s most distinguished educators - Daniel Gordis, Einat Wilf, Ronen Bergman, and Miri Eisen. It also explores the ideological roots and stated aspirations of Hamas and radical Islamists and shows the traumatic events of October 7 through stories of survivors, first responders, a former hostage, and chilling video recorded by the terrorists themselves.
The film concludes with an inspiring tribute to the IDF, encouragement to future generations of Israelis, and a challenge to viewers from Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906–1945):
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil:
God will not hold us guiltless.
Not to speak is to speak.
Not to act is to act.”
